Counselling & Psychotherapy
I work in a humanistic way. This means that the relationship between you - the client, and myself, is important. It is central to us working together, to bring about change. I use Transactional Analysis theory as a structure. This can help you develop understanding and often acceptance, of your ways of thinking and doing. Therapy gives space to explore those ways together. In doing so, you can identify areas preventing you from achieving your long term goals, and personal happiness.
Online Working and The Therapy Relationship
I work exclusively online. I provide a safe, confidential space using Zoom as an online platform. This provides video or voice only connection with clients.
If you are interested in us working together, we can arrange an introductory conversation. We can do this by telephone or Zoom, to discuss your ideas about therapy. This gives you an opportunity to meet me, and decide if you would like to begin working with me therapeutically. You can do this by using the contact page.
I believe that therapy works well when the therapist and client are a good match. An introductory conversation or initial session, enables us to get a sense of this. If after this, either you or myself feel that we are not such a good match, I am happy to suggest colleagues who may be a good fit for you. You can find out more about me, here.
Session Length & Fees
I offer sessions of 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes. On an individually discussed basis, I would be willing to offer a split 60 minute session as two 30 minute sessions, as some people struggle to remain focussed and concentrate online for a full hour.
We can discuss your needs when we first meet. But generally sessions are weekly, at least initially, as this enables and supports the development of the therapeutic relationship.
Fees are £60 per hour.
